Review Policy

The National Journal of Physiology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology (NJPPP) follows a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, scientifically sound research.

Peer-Review Assignment

  • Manuscripts that pass initial checks are evaluated by a minimum of two independent experts.

  • NJPPP employs a single-blind peer review, where reviewers know the identities of authors, but authors do not know the identities of reviewers.

  • Reviewer comments are confidential and shared only with consent.

Characteristics of the Peer-Review Process

  • All research articles undergo assessment by at least two qualified reviewers.

  • Reviewers are given 21 days to complete their evaluation. If no response is received, the review invitation is withdrawn, and an alternative reviewer is assigned.

Communication with Corresponding Author

  • After reviewers submit comments, the Editor conveys feedback to the corresponding author, with or without additional remarks.

  • Authors must submit revised manuscripts within three weeks, addressing all reviewer and editorial comments.

  • Failure to submit revisions within this timeframe may result in rejection and removal of the manuscript metadata from the system.

Revised Manuscripts

If necessary, revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers.

Publication Decision

The final decision on acceptance or rejection rests with the Editor-in-Chief or designated editorial board member, based on reviewer evaluations and editorial judgment.

Timeline

Assuming a smooth review and revision process, the typical timeframe from submission to a publication decision is 6–8 weeks.
